Underwatering / Drought Stress
Leaves and whole plant droop when the medium is dry and the pot feels light. Recovers within hours of watering. Common in fast-growing plants in summer or under high-intensity lighting.
What usually causes it
- Infrequent watering
- Very high temperatures increasing transpiration
- Rootbound plant using water faster than it is supplied
- High VPD pulling moisture from leaves faster than roots can replace it
