Root Aphids
Small pear-shaped insects (white, brown, pink or with a powdery / waxy coating) clinging to roots, often visible when you lift the pot or root ball out. Above ground the plant shows generic decline: nutrient-deficiency-style yellowing, stunted growth and wilting that does not respond to feeding. Notoriously hard to eradicate - usually requires a full crop cycle and substrate replacement.
What usually causes it
- Introduced on contaminated clones, soil or shared tools
- Reusing contaminated or poorly-cleaned medium between cycles
- Adjacent infested grow space allowing winged-form spread
