Nitrogen Toxicity
Too much nitrogen causes very dark green, clawed leaves - tips hook downward like eagle talons. Very common in early flower when growers stay on a high-N veg feed instead of switching to a bloom-stage formula with lower N and higher P/K.
What usually causes it
- Overfeeding with a high-nitrogen base nutrient
- Continuing the veg feed into early flowering instead of switching to a bloom formula
- EC of the working solution above the strain or stage tolerance
