Hermaphroditism - Light Leak / Stress
A light leak during the dark cycle is the most common non-genetic cause of hermaphroditism. Even a brief light interruption can trigger pollen sac development mid-flower. Check all light seals. Avoid using these plants as mother plants.
What usually causes it
- Light entering the grow space during the 12-hour dark period
- Timing failure or power interruption resetting the timer
- Checking plants with a torch during lights-off
